P.A.T.H.™ has revolutionized conventional work-injury management programs by offering a Preferred Provider Program that has shown very positive results in many companies across Ontario, including the Toronto Transit Commission, A&P Foods, Goodyear, and in DaimlerChrysler Canada. The implementation of a P.A.T.H.™ Preferred Provider Program significantly decreases the duration of the return-to-work process, and increases the probability of returning an employee to pre-injury status.

BENEFITS OF A PREFERRED PROVIDER PROGRAM

Ensures immediate, comprehensive physiotherapy services are rendered to an employee within 48 hours of injury at a P.A.T.H.™ clinic of their choice.
P.A.T.H.™ clinics follow the protocol outlined in the preferred provider contract, in order to ensure continuity for the employer.
P.A.T.H.™ physiotherapy services are invoiced through a central billing process. This system requires the company to submit only one payment per month to P.A.T.H.™ central office, rather than issue multiple payments to all clinics who are treating employees.
P.A.T.H.™ conducts monthly research outcome measures to validate the cost savings associated with our Preferred Provider Program. Our research measures the cost and efficiency of treatment, the duration of time before employees return to work, and the prevalence of certain injuries.
There is continuous communication to the employer regarding the employee’s progress, throughout all stages of treatment.
The company experiences direct financial gains through lower W.S.I.B. premiums. With a preferred provider program, health care services associated with rehabilitation are not calculated as a NEER (New Experimental Experience Rating) or actual cost by W.S.I.B. In accordance with Bill 99, the potential for having a surcharge levied is decreased, and the potential for receiving a refund from W.S.I.B. is increased.

P.A.T.H.™ has set a new standard in workplace injury management by providing on-site physiotherapy services to companies across Ontario. P.A.T.H.™ has built a strong partnership with DaimlerChrysler Canada and General Motors of Canada Limited by assisting them with their efforts to maximize the efficiency and financial integrity of their workplace injury management program. The on-site clinic has produced astonishing results within DaimlerChrysler Canada (research has shown a financial savings of $950,000.00 in 1999), and has been implemented at no cost to the company.
