Since its inception in 1992, P.A.T.H.™ has become one of the largest networks of registered physiotherapists in private practice in Ontario, and one of the top preferred providers of rehabilitation for motor vehicle accident, work related, sports and other injuries that require physiotherapy treatment.

P.A.T.H.™ has worked with insurers, claims managers and rehabilitation consultants and has attained the highest standards in MVA rehabilitation. The quality and efficiency of P.A.T.H.™ programs has consistently been proven through outcome measurement research studies.

Accreditation by C.A.R.F. (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) demonstrates P.A.T.H.’s commitment to accountability in both industry and the private sector.

P.A.T.H.™ members are qualified to conduct the internationally renowned Isernhagen Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) tests for return-to-work certification and dispute resolution.

P.A.T.H.™ clinics are affiliated with a number of hospitals, Ontario Insurance Commission Designated Assessment Centres (DACs) and Ontario Universities as teaching centres for physiotherapy interns.

COMPREHENSIVE INITIAL ASSESSMENT

All individuals who attend a P.A.T.H.™ clinic receive a Comprehensive Initial Assessment by a registered physiotherapist. This assessment includes, but is not limited to:
  • Review of accident and medical reports
  • Identification of client’s motivation, perception and expectations
  • Detailed medical history
  • Musculoskeletal and/or neurological examination
  • Identification of functional restrictions
  • Identification of barriers to recovery
  • Preparation of treatment plan and goals
  • Recommendations for length of treatment, cost of treatment
  • Prognosis for recovery and return to work
  • Education

P.A.T.H. TREATMENT PROGRAMS

Once a patient’s initial assessment is completed, the physiotherapist implements an individualized treatment program that can include (but is not limited to):

  • Work conditioning

As part of our commitment to be accountable to our customers, we conduct research outcome studies on the cost and effectiveness of our treatment programs. Research results are available on request.
